Hi Jesús Congratulations on your ROACH purchase and welcome to the community! In future, your questions are best directed to the CASPER mailing list (cc'd here) so that they'll reach a wider pool of knowledge. They will be archived at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00000.html so that they can be searched by others looking for answers.
I am not the best person to answer questions about the DSP libraries. The best I can offer is to point you towards http://casper.berkeley.edu/wiki/Fft and http://casper.berkeley.edu/wiki/Fft_wideband_real If these pages do not answer your questions then I'd suggest mailing the list with specific questions. WRT your Matlab warnings and errors, can you provide more details? Depending on which version you're running, some warnings are expected, such as Warning: "casper_library/path/to/a_block" is a parameterized link. To view, discard, or propagate the changes for this link, use the "Link Options" menu item. Errors, however, should not be present. BORPH was developed by Hayden So, originally for the BEE2. I'd suggest you take a look at his thesis paper. Some changes and customisations have been made for the ROACH (like being able to detect when the FPGA has programmed successfully). http://www.eee.hku.hk/~hso/borph.html http://bwrc.eecs.berkeley.edu/People/Grad_Students/skhay/borph/index.html http://bee2.eecs.berkeley.edu/wiki/Bee2OperatingSystem.html Jason On 28 Mar 2011, at 13:30, Jesús García wrote: > Hi Jason, > my name is Jesús and I am from Spain. > I write you because we have just adquired two ROACHs boards, and we would > like to start working with them and with CASPER libraries. > I have been trying to install all the necessary tools, and I have to > recognize that it has been quite hard, because in the casper's web page there > is not much available information... > > Well, I also went to the Taipe's workshop in order to see the people from > Berkeley, to ask them my doubts...and I still have some. > > I hope you can help me, or at least tell me who could. > My problems are: > - I would like to know more about the FFT, PFB blocks of the CASPER > libraries.
