The ROACH is connected directly to a computer using a short cat5e cable.
eth0 was configured to auto-negotiate, so the link was set at 1000Mbit.
I forced the link down to 100Mbit and now it seems to be much more stable.
After ~ 400 integration periods I haven't got runtime errors.

the spectrum is still weird, and I cant find where the problem is.

A red led lights up on the roach when I run the script.
Also a green light blinks about two times per second.
After the script crashes with the 'runtime' error the leds on the

Have you tried forcing the link speed to 100Mbit on whatever the
roach is plugged in to (switch, PC) ?
