All,
IBN6800-3 looks the same of the 10G-CX4-3M of Myricom. I purchased few
of these cables from Myricom and price ranges are ~$100! I recently
purchased TMC C5252-2ME-CX4 (2m). TMC price for this cable is $72.50,
but I did get this cable for ~$40 from Colfax International. We also
purchased Fujitsu XG2000CR switches from Colfax, and prices are around $10k.
Louis: I suggest to ask a quotation with discount to Colfax
(http://www.colfax-intl.com/) and few more distributors, and compare
prices. Do you need a switch? You can connect the ROACH and your 10GbE
adapter directly using a CX4-CX4 cable.
Best,

Hi,
I've used IBN6800 series cables from Gore with good success. I haven't
tried the 3 meter exactly, but it should work.

Hello all,
I've been looking into purchasing a 10GbE cable for
a ROACH board. It has a Virtex 5 on it (I believe they're reffered
to as ROACH 1 boards on the CASPER site). I would just like some
advice with this. I was able to find a 3 meter cable at this site:
http://stordis.com/catalogue/product/s=wl-gore-sdgcabcx4283. I
would like someone's 2 cents concerning the validity of this
product, if you will. On another note, does anyone have any
recommendations concerning the Fujitsu switches? I wasn't able to
find them on the site, but a little bit of Googling revealed that
they could rack up a price. Which switches are other people using
for this set up?
P.S. I plan on first using the cable and switch for the iADC
tutorial (number 2, I believe) and then to move on to bigger and
better things :)
Thanks in advance,
