See below from Anton Tremsin at SSL. We are using the ROACH-I and have
no need for the power of ROACH-2. So we're stuck with CX4 cables, and a
CX4 NIC. Are there any other ways to go here? I saw a posting here
about a 4-channel CX4-to-SPF+ box, but that's big and unwieldy and power
hungry. Is it possible to go CX4 to SFP+ in the cable and then buy an
SFP+ NIC? Or something like that?

Hi Rick,
I found the company which can sell us the 10Gb fiberoptic cable, exactly
the same as I have now. I went through a long chain of very helpful
people and in the end here it is.
If anyone at Casper need that one we can share the access to those guys.
They did not ask for the minimum order, but their price is quite a bit
higher than what we had before. Since we do not have choice and do need
those I guess we should buy a couple of them before they become obsolete
in that company.
Do you think they will keep active the network cards with CX4 (this new
version T420)? Or we will have to deal with the conversion to SFP(?)
fiberoptic on one side and a converter (quite expensive and bulky) on
Roach side?
