Did a quick search on the website and in the archive for virtualbox, but didn't see anything.
Here we have set up a virtual machine (VM) using VirtualBox (free) to set up the blessed environment for programming the ROACH. We have been using it for just under a year to program our ROACH board. We have just transferred this VM from our iMac to an HP Z1 running RedHat 6. The Mac address of the VM was even preserved (although you may be able to set this manually so its not an issue anyway), so our matlab and xilinx licenses worked right away. I'd be happy to write something up for the wiki if that would be helpful to the community. With VirtualBox's "export" and "import" features, the transition was pretty painless, but would be happy to write about the other nice features of using VirtualBox for ROACH development for anyone that hasn't played with this technology. --Laura Vertatschitsch
