Dear CASPERites ,
Myself Indrajit working with Gauribidanur Radioheliograph Project .
Where we purchased 2 nos of ROACH-1 from Digicom, one board is working
properly and other board is had some power issues. When I powered the
board it was not working properly, the board completely fluctuating OFF
& ON . So I removed and connected all the ribbon cables once again. It
was working properly (No power issue ) but network port issues where
there. So I found some solution from mail archive. Then I followed the
upgrade procedure from CASPER website. When I was transferring the uboot
image through serial communication I was getting the status on serial
port monitor. After that nothing got displayed on the serial port
monitor it got stuck. Previously I would able get the boot options and
all. Now I am not getting anything. I don't have the wiggler USB
programmer . How I can fix the issue.
As john ford suggest
either I have to send the board back to DIGICOM or I have to buy USB
wiggler
Anyone from GMRT/NCRA can help in this issue.
With regards
Indrajit

I'm afraid you will have to get a wiggler, or return it to digicom for
reflashing...
Maybe someone at NCRA/GMRT can help you with it.

Hi all. We have turned one of our Roaches into a doorstop. The serial
port does not ever show the uboot prompt. All we did was update the cpld.
In fact, I don't know if it was working before we updated the cpld, but
it worked the last time it was turned on, to the best of my knowledge.
In any case, what should be done to return it to a working state? We have
no wiggler to reload the bootloader.
Thanks.
John
