For the roach2, more recent kernels use a simple mmap driver, so those
kernels are more easily patched. If you are talking roach1, then it is
possible to backport the mmap driver to them too - but that is a bit more
effort. Either way you will need a tcpborphserver can use the
/dev/roach/{config,mem} interface rather than the proc entries (that is
default on the roach2 romfs image)
