We use the SFC 9020 in our VEGAS spectrometer.  It's old and out of date. 
I think the 7002 should work fine, but you might want to test it.  We also
use myricom and mellanox adapters successfully.

I think the main difference between the $1000 ones and the $300 ones is
the name on the box.
