Hi everyone,
We have a very odd situation with our Roach 1 board and i was wondering if anyone has seen something like this before, or had ideas on what to check.

We are having problems with a close to production receiver, and I setup a test bed in the lab that recreates the issue. I have a simple bof running on the FPGA, and a custom mode for the tcpborphserver2 that transmits (fake) data via UDP to a client machine (in this test-bed there is no interaction with the FPGA for what data to transmit). A simple UDP client process receives the data and exits. When I then stop the data transmission on the tcpborphserver2 the entire roach nearly freezes up: PING times go up to nearly a second, and the roach is extremely sluggish, even when we are logged in via the serial connection.

Once the roach gets into this state, we have had no luck finding anything that might be causing it: CPU and memory usage looks normal, no traffic viewed from tcpdump that causes alarm. Does anyone have any idea what could be freezing up the roach like this, yet not appear to be using up cpu or memory?

thanks
Paul Marganian
