For our project we are using a ROACHI with this Valon 5008 Synthesizer
<http://valontechnology.com/5008.html> in our 4-input correlator system. We are
currently seeing an issue with what seems to be our synthesizer’s 10MHz ref
input. When we drive the ROACHI correlator without the 10MHz ref then we have
no issues. But when we plug in the 10MHz ref, our TX buffers overflow and the
system locks up. Resetting the system (with the 10MHz ref plugged in) only
temporarily fixes the issue (only a few UDP packets get out of the buffer
before it locks up again). We have four ROACHI’s all running identical
setups/firmware and only one of them exhibits this problem.
Has anyone else seen anything like this?
