Hi, I am using the core "Finedelay fstop prog" to construct a simple correlator. But I am some confused about the fring stop function. The document for this core is as below. Here "It means that minimum rate of incrementing fringe phase by 0.02197 degrees is after 2^17 FFT cycles." Does this means that every time when I increase the phase, it should be after some times of the FFT cycles, and the shortest time is one FFT cycle? Can I increase the phase in the one FFT cycle which means that I can increase the phase every clock?
Fringe Stop : Masking parameter fft_cycle_bits determines the maximum number of FFT cycles after which the fringe phase will be incremented. For eg. Let the sync period is of 2^27 clks and number of FFT points be 2^10 then the maximum number of FFT cycles for incrementing the fringe phase by amount of resolution set for the Sine-Cos LUT = 2^27 / 2^10 = 2^17 It means that minimum rate of incrementing fringe phase by 0.02197 degrees is after 2^17 FFT cycles.
