hi colm, thanks for telling us about this interesting board. do you know what the rough cost is?
i don't see any high speed ethernet ports, but perhaps the board could talk to a NIC over PCIe3, or we could make a backplane that connected the PCIe serdes lanes to a QSFP+ connector... RFsoc data sheets are supposed to be on Xilinx web site in 2 to 3 weeks. dan On Thu, Apr 5, 2018 at 3:00 AM, Colm Bracken <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Casperites, > > Just an FYI related to the new Xilinx RF SoC that has been discussed on > CASPER recently. > > While we eagerly await the release of the new board hosting the RF SoC by > Xilinx (slated for July), a company called Abaco Systems has already > released their own board hosting the new Xilinx chip. > > It is the same chip with 8 x 4GSPS ADCs and 8 x 6.4GSPS DACs system, and > they released it just on Monday. > Here's one report on the public release: https://www.prnewswire.com/ > news-releases/abaco-announces-industrys-first-3u-vpx- > solution-to-feature-new-xilinx-rf-system-on-chip-technology-300623478.html > > It's pretty affordable too! > > -- > =================================================== > Dr Colm Bracken > Lecturer/Assistant Professor > School of Physics > University College Dublin > Belfield > Dublin 4 > ==================================================== > Tel: +353 1 716 2566 > Email: [email protected] > Follow my work on https://nuim.academia.edu/ColmBracken > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups " > [email protected]" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "[email protected]" group.
