Hi Viduneth-

I would add a couple notes to Ben's reply-

1) The latest Ubuntu versions use Predictable Interface Naming to assign
names to ethernet devices. Licensing Matlab 2012b requires an internet
connection configured as ‘eth0’, so you may need to rename your connection.
See
https://askubuntu.com/questions/767786/changing-network-interfaces-name-ubuntu-16-04

2) This isn't specific to any OS, but be sure you assign an IP address to
your 10GbE interface that formats in binary starting with a 0. I had our
server configured to pull data off the 10GbE connection using an IP like
172.xxx.yyy.zzz, and the ROACH2 re-interpreted it using two's-complement
binary. Again, nothing to do with Ubuntu per se, but it might save you a
big headache.

3) While we use the ADC1x5000-8 cards, I've never had a problem using a
python script on either Ubuntu 14.x or 16.x.
