Could it be that your PPC is bricked? If the PPC is dead, then you will not see any activity on the serial port.
In this case, I would suggest shipping it back to Digicom, where they've got the required tools to reprogram it. It is possible to do so over the USB, but it requires a lot of customised, fiddly linux installs. If you've got a macgraigor tool, you can follow the roach1 PPC bringup procedure here: https://casper.ssl.berkeley.edu/wiki/ROACH_Bringup Jason > On 11 Jul 2019, at 13:04, luis javier Ulloa <[email protected]> wrote: > > > ---------- Forwarded message --------- > De: luis javier Ulloa <[email protected]> > Date: jue., 4 de julio de 2019 12:06 > Subject: Problems with the roach2 card > To: <[email protected]> > > > hello friends, I request your support to detect failure or error in my roach2 > card, the problem is that I can not perform the serial communication through > minicom, I connect the cable to the FTDI usb port, and in my computer it > throws me the following ports > <Captura de pantalla de 2019-07-03 15-55-49.png> > > I make the minicom configuration > <Captura de pantalla de 2019-07-03 15-54-08.png> > and run the minicom > <Captura de pantalla de 2019-07-03 15-53-11.png> > later I start the card and I do not receive any information, it is worth > mentioning that I have already tested with ttyUSB0 up to ttyUSB3, and in any > case I get something, I restart the card even several times and nothing, > sometimes I waited until 10 minutes after turning the card and I never get to > see anything. > It should be noted that the green POWER LED turns on > <IMG_20190703_094115.jpg> > <IMG_20190703_094200.jpg> > > > sometimes when you restart it, you also turn on the red LED of DEFAULT > <IMG_20190703_094213.jpg> > <IMG_20190703_094208.jpg> > the fans work normally, but the READY CPU LED never turns on. > Someone could support me with my problem, I'll thank them, I'm really > frustrated. > regards > Luis Javier Ulloa > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "[email protected]" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > To view this discussion on the web visit > https://groups.google.com/a/lists.berkeley.edu/d/msgid/casper/CALo%3DeSL%3DfuhhtJ0G%3Dy1caCSto7Wfo_hOOjD%2Be4DT9L8Fr23pOw%40mail.gmail.com. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "[email protected]" group.
