Hello, A colleague and I are just getting started setting up a build environment for SNAP. We have a few general questions.
1. Seeing the relatively old versions of Ubuntu, MATLAB and Vivado with which the toolflow has been tested, it's tempting to wonder if something more recent is likely to work. Is it likely to work with more recent versions of any of these components? Or are we really better off just sticking to whatever is specified? Accounts of positive or negative experiences welcome. 2. Does Vivado include all of the Xilinx components needed? Or is any additional download or license needed (DSP system builder or some such thing)? 3. Does anyone have a virtual environment they can share, or advice on this? Conversely, is this even worth asking about, or should we be able to get it up and running without much fuss? 4. Has anyone used Docker to containerize their environment, or know if this is a reasonable thing to do? We would like to be able to move a (virtual) build machine around as easily as possible. What about Virtualbox? Thanks for any advice offered, Eamon Egan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "[email protected]" group.
