Eric Evans commented on CASSANDRA-288:
--------------------------------------
I'm thinking of it as the "thrift service", and "everything else", so the
generic identifier "ListenAddress" is still alright by me. There is also the
issue of overcoming momentum; does any alternate name make things so much more
clear that it justifies breaking existing configs, etc?
That said, I'm cool with changing it if there is any sort of consensus that it
would make things clearer.

> It would be much more convenient if there was a way to make Cassandra listen
> on *, rather than needing to provide the address to listen on.
