Yes, I’m not changing Transaction Manager so far, but rather implementing
the transactions from C interop wrapped in C#. However, to this comes more
things to think about:

How will it work with the transaction interceptor in the facility and how to
implement the actual class which handles the transaction when it’s not a db
transaction but something over a collection of safefilehandle-s; where’s the
responsibility for disposing these handles (imo the transaction), and how
can underlying code use this transaction if it wants it using the same
facility that the transaction facility gives you (I’m using wrappers on File
and Directory which know about the transaction manager).

Right now I have code looking like this:

var ftx = new FileTransaction();

fileTransaction.Enlist(new FileResourceAdapter(ftx));

So what do u think?

as far as i know, you can still do that as is, with the events on
TransactionManager and TransactionScope.

Hi Jonathon,

It’s not so much help as it’s extending it with native vista/server 2008
kernel transactions… I need someone to discuss that with.

Ernst Naezer is the project lead for the transaction services as per
http://www.castleproject.org/castle/projects.html

However, you should post your questions to either this list (for development
of the project) or the castle users list (for help with using the project).
This allows anyone to help you.
