It would be good if every project responsible would write two paragraphs to put on the front-page for each of the projects.
Further, what would you guys like in the rabbit hole-box? Or not want in it. I can give any number of accounts to people to my FTP's castle folder so we can work on it together! :) E-mail me what username/password you want! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Henrik Feldt Sent: den 20 februari 2010 17:05 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Proposal for new layout Btw, if someone would edit the xml at the main site and put end of next week in the "planned release date" for my projects I would appreciate it. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Henrik Feldt Sent: den 20 februari 2010 17:04 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Proposal for new layout Regarding this page: http://castleproject.org/castle/projects.html Is it even useful to include the visual studio integration nowadays? I suggest that people submit project ideas to the universities around where you live; the universities often have 3rd year projects where the students can work on something small for a few weeks as a part of receiving their diploma. After the bologna process this is a requirement in the third year. Topics could be things like documentation writing, drawing architectural diagrams or something well defined like writing an integration with visual studio. Unless there's an overwhelming amount of people arguing in its favor I'd rather go with something new. I've added "Documentation"-links next to the download links. http://logibit.se/castle The 'overuse' of accordions; would you like me to remove them for the links at the bottom? I think they look good at the top for the main projects, as one often wants both an overview and quick insight into what the project is about, but only for projects one cares about. I'm going to remove the accordions from the subtopics further down and do a draft of a documentation page. Regarding the fubumvc, I don't like it very much. Their domain is different as is their project span (in terms of features and # of projects). "Tiny" layouts have never really fascinated me. Here's few remarks: - Basically what Jono said - it stands out as compared to the rest of the website. Traditionally violet was the color of Castle, so it would be good to stick with something similar. - With JavaScript blocked all the accordeons are expanded, which does not look so pretty. - I would also put a ( a tad smalled than download) link to 'docs' and 'more' (all the other stuff) along with each project.
