+1. That's basically the idea as soon as projects being integrated are released their integration layers should be updated.

Perhaps keeping them separate from the projects being integrated is a good idea. We should put info in readme (and website)
with links to the other projects though, so that they are easy to find.

If Markus is busy I may try to push the release of AR Facility once TX is released

Guys,

We have quite a few of this "integration assemblies" that don't belong
in any core project.
Let's list them:
Castle.Facilities.ActiveRecordIntegration.dll
Castle.MonoRail.ActiveRecordSupport.dll
Castle.MonoRail.WindsorExtension.dll
Castle.Facilities.NHibernateIntegration.dll

I probably forgot some!

Anyway, my point is that these assemblies are separate, they are just
here for integrating core project A with core project B, nothing more,
so why are we trying to merge them with core projects?
BTW, merge is not the same as bundle or package together.

In my opinion integration assemblies:
- should not be treated as projects;
- should be packaged separate (as an addon, that the user can d/l if
he/she requires);
- updated (or kept up to date) by the project leaders of the 2 core
projects that they integrate;

Eg. Castle.Facilities.ActiveRecordIntegration.dll is updated by Markus
(when new version of AR is released), or by Krzysztof (when a new
version of Windsor is release).

Thoughts?

Cheers
John

Well, there are arguments pro and contra merging it with AR.

The pro argument is that for some of the features I envision for AR3, I'll
need a DI container anyway. Since MK and Windsor are now merged, the
dependency on Windsor is needed anyway.

The contra argument is that right now I have absolutely no time (only
scanning the mailing list every other week or so) and this won't change
before July or August.

But if we bundle it with AR, it'll make AR Windsor dependent.

The facility still has no leader and still was not released.
I think it makes sense to bundle it with AR (same way logging facility
is bundled with Windsor).
Markus, what's your opinion?
