Thanks for your reply :) It's not rellay important for me "who is using it". But if a open source project/software is strong and stable enough. People who is not dev are usually measure by watching a "who using it" list.
And if you are going to survey and application framework or library for new product/project developement. Sometimes you have to choose the open source project/software which is "stable", "active", or "release". Because you have to convinced others who is not dev and they don't wanna know how mailing list really is anyway. Thanks a lot. I like Castle but for some reason I just wanna know when will be next release. :) 2009/1/12 Ken Egozi <[email protected]> > the best way to see how an OSS project is alive or not, is to follow the > code base. > you can take a look at: > 1. the list of commits ( > http://groups.google.com/group/castle-project-commits/) > 2. the activity on this list > 3. the activity on the dev list ( > http://groups.google.com/group/castle-project-devel/) > 4. loking at OSS ranking services like Ohlo > > as for 'who is using it' - does it really make any difference for you? if > everyone is jumping off roofs, would you try this too? > the real important thing is the amount (and quality) of people working on > making it better, which can be figured out by looking the above places. > > anyway, it is being used **in production environments** on many > applications and websites, for over two years. > there has been a page somewhere listing some of these. > > these are those I know of (which uses MR, AR, Windsor, or some combination > of the three): > http://www.kenegozi.com/blog > http://www.delver.com > http://www.musicglue.com > http://www.castleproject.org > http://www.gotfriends.co.il > http://www.myresume.co.il > http://www.eleutian.com/ > http://www.mamaherb.com/ > > and there are more. > > > > > > > On Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 8:13 AM, floyd <[email protected]> wrote: > >> >> Hi all, >> The official release is RC-3 on 2007.
