I'm using MySQL (most recent version). Rollback works with
everything except create.
I'll further investigate why
close() doesn't work, but I was looking for a clarification as to when it
should be used. (In pairing with getDatabase()?)
The JDO examples aren't very thorough - there aren't any
rollback tests in there. Although close() did work in that.

Make sure you use database that support transaction. Also,
make sure you have right setting if you��re using connection
pooling.
I believe all test in JDO close
the database, and they do not have problem.
So, I
assume it is the problem in your test case. Maybe you can consider start
with a test case and modify it for your use, instead of making a complete new
one.
