I wonder if CastorXML is trying to make use of the DTD listed in
the header of database and mapping descriptors. Change it from the
http reference to a local file url reference to make use of the
respective DTDs as found in the Castor source here:

<CASTOR_DIR>/src/main/org/exolab/castor/mapping/mapping.dtd
