The issue with blob-support is not really with the driver, but the database. PostgreSQL is switching from storing OID objects that point to 'blobs' to bytea columns. So, depending on your version of postgresql what the behavior should be. You can't really just switch between jdbc drivers since Castor expects some behavior with the driver in some cases. (Last inserted oid, for example) However, it may work for the most part. Try the jxDBCon one, and let us know how well it works. I expect that with 7.2, it won't have blob support in a way that castor can use, but its worth a shot. Once 7.2 is released, I'm going to make some changes to Castor so that it can support blobs in postgresql, consistant to the new changes. (I'm starting that stuff now, looking at the the pre-release of pgsql 7.2. This is one of the test-cases that fails with Castor/PostgreSQL currently that I mention I'm working on.) I cannot say that the 0.9.4 release of Castor will include these changes, since I'm not going to finish them until 7.2 is released, and I don't know when 0.9.4 will be done. But when it is done, I'll update the mailing list with that information. ===== Virtually, Ned Wolpert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "Who watches the watchmen?" -Juvenal, 120 AD (4e75) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
