Hi Bowden,
I've recently committed to the CVS some performance improvements
contributed by Dean Hiller, as well as some other performance
improvements in both the unmarshaller and marshaller, so you may be able
to improve the performance by simply upgrading to the CVS version.
If during your profiling you come up with other places which need to
improve performance, please share those with us.
