Title: Message
I have already tried this with MySql, PostgreSql and Sybase IAnywhere. The results are consistently disappointing for "Shared" and "DbLocked" selects.

Hello,

I think it issue of JDBC pipe, try change host dataserver, or database type. For example try to test performance on mySQL, MSSQL and ORACLE. The results must be different, i guess.

Thanks!

Subject: [castor-dev] Castor performance input

Hello,

We have been doing evaluation of Castor vs JDBC for database access.

While retrieving objects in "Shared" mode we found that performance is almost 4 times slower than when objects are retrueved in "ReadOnly".

I thought it may have been due to cache so I set <cache-type type="none"> but that didn't help.

If you have any inputs on this, please let me know.

Thanks,
Sandeep Bhasin
