Roy,

I think what you are seeing (re: JDO becoming more and more active over the
last weeks) is a result of more and more folks joining the project as
committers. Which, to be honest, has been a requirement for the project to
survive, as it has been pretty inactive for quite some time before, and many
people turned away from Castor JDO because of this.

Just to give you an idea, on the JDO side of things, we are currently two
(completely) active, one (unfortunately) inactive and two 'wannabe'
committers. In addition, there's a lot of nice folks out there who keep
throwing patches and questions at us, most of the time providing the answers
themselves.

A lot of the time I spend on the project (apart from some good old-fashioned
refactoring) is on integrating patches (incl. all the design discussions,
see http://bugzilla.exolab.org), dealing with bugs and dealing with user
requests liek this one .. ;-).

On top of that, I am in the process of adding some new features, some of
which have already made it into CVS. But more on that subject in a separate
'status' email which I will be pushing out before the end of this week.

Regards
Werner
