I use IntelliJ 4.5.4.  I believe it has built in CVS support, but again I've
never used it.

don't be afraid, there's always a first time for everything. Are you using
an IDE for any development related work ? If so, which ? In case you are not
using an IDE, get your hands on WinCVS and fetch the latest sources from our
CVS repository. (Re)apply your patches to these sources, and create a
unified patch. But let's see what your answers are.
