Hi Mike,
Once you get settled with a CVS client, to create the patch file in the format that we use do 'cvs diff -u filename'. (Note: If you're using WinCVS you might want to go to the console and type the above command (make sure the WinCVS executables (namely diff.exe) is in your PATH environment), since the default diff that can be done by context menu in WinCVS uses the wrong format for a patch file).
That will output a diff in the format that can easily be applied by the standard "patch" program, but can be done manually as well.
Thanks,

Mike,
don't be afraid, there's always a first time for everything. Are you using an IDE for any development related work ? If so, which ? In case you are not using an IDE, get your hands on WinCVS and fetch the latest sources from our CVS repository. (Re)apply your patches to these sources, and create a unified patch. But let's see what your answers are.

I've never done it before, I'm a VIRGIN ;-) Not that familiar with CVS either, so your going to have to walk me through it. I'll try to read the document to get familiar with the process.

HI,
there's a bug report out there on exactly that very subject. Can you please
attach a unified patch incl. your modifications at
http://bugzilla.exolab.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1894
Let us know if you have never done that before, and we'll assist you in getting there.
Regards Werner

I've actually got it all working with the ant task. Actually, I took the source and built my own ant task because I need the ability to set a binding file. Which it looks like it was planned and just not implemented in the ant task. I've added it and all is working well now.
Thanks for your help, I'm not upgraded.
Great! Would you care to contribute your changes to the Ant task back to Castor?
