Lotta frigging water.
Mostly down at the town square, but my father in law had & has quite a bit of basement flooding when the springs around his house just about burst open. Some of the roads have streams running over them and are passable if you have a truck. The problem being that if it keeps up much longer some of those roads might wash away. In the early days Peabody used to be called Brooksby because of all
US Route 1 was closed for about 5 miles. 128 from Peabody to 93 (for those who know) was a two hour crawl this morning. I stayed home.
All this after about 10 inches in two steady days of rain. Right now it’s let up but we have three more inches expected tonight and tomorrow.
If this keeps up the only good news will be that I’ll save a few bucks when Cheeky Monkey self launches.
