Thanks for your reply, but I forgot to say that I wanted to mount it in the cockpit, where I could use it at the wheel w/o a long cord going to the main cabin. but if the coaming boxdosen't work out, your is the nexr solution,

I guess I'm missing something here.
 
There are several standard 12 volt jacks that are Marinized,  Sealink 12 VRC, as example.
 
But short of those, You can easily "Pot" many jacks by encasing the connector in Epoxy or similar product. And with judious Gasketing, can be weatherproofed for mounting.
 
And if this doesn't sound like a good answer,
I would think about mounting jacks or plugs that are already used in boats such as the Trolling Motor connections
and simply make a small ADAPTER cable.
 
Also .There are a number of Weather proof connectors such as Trailer Connectors  that would work as well..
Adapter cables are easy to make and are a "Throw Away" item if they get weathered.
