Hi Ralph and Bob, The Speedseal is a beautiful machined unit. However a few weeks ago I posted the following: I bought a Speedseal for my Sherwood pump M-18 engine. Speedseal did not have a model made for the Sherwood pump on the M-18. They made one up for me from the paper gaskets and drawings that I sent them. The unit came in and was a close fit and worked, but I felt it was just a little bit off. The cheerfully refunded my money and stated that if I could get them a sample pump they would make another unit. I was so impressed with the unit that if someone has an old Sherwood pump, I would pay for the shipping to me, and I would forward it to Speedseal and would pay for the shipping of the sample pump back to the contributor. I know there were a few other sailors on the list last year that were interested in buying one. Any takers? Harvey Rosenberg C-27Tr #6023, 1985, M-18, Stony Point NY.

However if you Click on " Ordering " You will be linked to their .. 1-800 U.S. Phone number. It's kind of weird the phone connects to a gentleman in England . It is shipped to the U.S. by British Air.. > I got the darned thing in less than a week.. ! > > You can see all the info on http://www.speedseal.com/Pages/contactus.htm > or the Price List http://www.speedseal.com/Pages/usaprices.htm > > Several Sailing magazines have their Ad.. And the Summer issue of BoatWorks (pages 42/43) has an article about changing the Impellor and recommends getting a SpeedSeal.. > > Best, > Ralph > ----- Original Message ----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [email protected] > Sent: Friday, July 14, 2006 12:37 PM > Subject: Re: catalina27-talk: Ping! > > > Actually, now that I think about it, the leak is from the bottom screw that holds the water pump to the engine. The cover is fine, even though it has the brown paper gasket cover. > > Where did you order the speed seal cover? All I saw was some place in England. > > Bob >
