While not answering your initial question, I thought I would share something I read in a magazine a couple of years ago. The author of the article said he installed an outboard bracket similar to the ones C-25's have. He said he did that so he could lower the motor down to the dinghy but found out later that he ended up using the ob to get his boat back in the slip when his diesel failed. I liked the idea but do not know how well it would really work...thought I would share it as an idea.
