You are looking for a Lister-Petter dealer.

I found the parts were readily available if you are not looking for a replacement water cooled head. But I have since learned that the head may be available for England.

Do a google search.

The air cooled version of this engine is widely used as a small industrial engine so you should be able to find someone who knows all about it.

My mechanic is a family member and the shop with the parts is in Virginia. Transatlantic Diesels in Hayes VA

I may need my AB1W overhauled.  I have gray oil-not white or foamy-and it won't start-ran great for 30 yrs.  Someone mentioned that it may be the fuel pump or ?  I live in Fresno, CA and have not found a Petter  mechanic.  Where did you get your diesel overhauled?  Any suggestions?-Ron Cat 27 #1114

Tommy,

Advice--- I had the engine completely overhauled 2 years ago, probably

used 3-4-5-gal of fuel ? Also had an additional Rancor filter installed.

How often would you change the original filter

Yep. Mine was right in front, left the engine in place. Replaced it with one from the local kenworth dealer - figure that ought to last a few hundred years with the amount of fuel we burn.

Listers,
Anyone out there have a Petter Diesel single cyl ?
Has anyone changed the standard fuel filter ? It appears you might have to
pull the engine to do it ?? Help !
