2 of the three on the Cat were very experienced delivery crew, having delivered that thing from South Africa...the boat is not w/o some design flaws, such as oversize windows, forward & low center beam clearance (windows leak and the hull slams in big seas)
but why anyone would be out there in those condits, which were on the WXfax line-up 3, 4, even 5 days in advance, is a complete mystery. It was basically an extra-tropical hurricane. condolences to the families involved but I agree witcha Ralph: STUPID! tf armchair critic
