I'd bet somebody pulled the thermostat - most likely to keep it from
overheating - did that on my old 5411 along with a few other rube Goldberg
devices before I replaced the engine.

That seems a bit cool. You can't adjust it, just buy a new one, their cheap
and relatively easy to replace. Running that cool you might end up with
carbon build ups, poor efficiency, global warming - possibly destroying the
entire planet. I'd look at it.
