most likely that is spin pole length.  whisker poles are generally
shorter, smaller diameter, unbridled poles that are used to pole out the clew of a genoa on a reach.

a pole longer than the J is usually called a "cheater" pole, even
if they are legal for certain classes.  like the C22, apparently.
