For me, this was actually a condition for insurance (first I'd heard of that)
and every outlet had to be replaced to satisfy them. I do feel safer though ;)

Jim,
If the circuit is the way you describe it, you are correct in that each
receptacle would need to be GFIC. If each receptacle has wires run to a
common tie point, and from there to the fuse/ circuit breaker then your
configuration looks sort of like a star and you need a GFIC on each one. On
the other hand, if the wires go from one receptacle to another, then you only
need a GFIC on the receptacle closest to the fuse/breaker.
If the dock receptacle has a GFIC, this would protect your boat's
receptacles, unless you have a galvanic isolator or diodes in the ground line.
As I'm sure you know, these are to prevent galvanic corrosion from stray
currents, but I think they can also block the some of the leakage current in
the ground line which would cause the GFIC to trip.
GFIC testers are not expensive <$5-15> at Home Depot or on eBay, and using
one to check the function of both your boat and home's GFIC is cheap insurance.

I can't speak to your individual outlets but around here the dock outlets
are GFCI. If that is the case, I would think you would not need individual
GFCI outlets.

While tinkering with my outlets last night, and trying to install a GFCI
outlet, I noticed that none of the 110v outlets seemed to be wired in the
same circuit and would thus each need to be changed to a GFCI. Am I correct?
As it is, my boat has no GFCI installed at all. Thanks!
