One can if one wants to (and one has one's buddies around to help!!) . Is

Why can't one use a Boson's chair to go up the mast?

Thanks Bob, this is exactly what I'm <mip://02dd0c40/default.html> trying
to accomplish. I am assuming that it would be difficult to install the lazy
jacks with the mast up.

Lazy jacks can be installed with the mast up but you will need access to a
cherry picker or a long ladder placed carefully and secured on deck.
