I once asked Frank Butler himself about the rake and he replied, make the
mast plumb (zero rake). The question about shroud tension has been talked
about for some years here, and I don¹t recall there ever being an absolute
answer that applied to all models. There used to be an owner on the list,
Carl Shaefer, who had some Excel data to share on this subject. His links
don¹t work for me any more, though.
