on my 71 model year I just went to west marine bought a rebuild kit it worked fine. I had to add an holding tank to bring her up to code but I wanted to anyway. Good luck on your project.

Didn't want the mast to be raised in a different locations on the boat and have a problem down the road that would have required me to again lower the mast. My boat is under-going a pretty large repair and like I mentioned before, I want to up-grade certain things while the mast is down and the boat is empty.
