is your fuse in the bilge, or somewhere else? I didn't trace the lines, but
all I saw in the bilge were crimped lines.

The pump on my c-27 has a separate fuse for the float operation. It's gone bad
before (corroded). When this happens, the pump will operate with the control
panel switch but will not operate automatically with the float. You might want
to trace the wire back to see if there is an inline fuse holder with a bad fuse
before you replace the float or switch..

Subject: catalina27-talk: bilge pump

This is not related to my leaking fuel tank, I swear! I think the pump stopped
working last fall. I did check the fuse in the electrical panel and it is
still good. Raising the float does nothing. The float was replaced when I
bought the boat in '98; the pump doesn't look much older. How do I determine
whether the problem is in the float or the pump? Or do I just replace both
with a pump with an integrated float?
