I had the same thought, just to have an emergency "get into the harbor" reserve if necessary. I was pleasantly surprised by the other responses, though, it sounds like I should be in pretty good shape either way. It is not so much the no wind situation I was worried about. I crewed in the Queen's Cup (Milwaukee, WI to Grand Haven, MI) a few weeks ago and while the race was great, we had 20 knots on the nose most of the way home. Without gas, it would have been a very long trip! We also hit a squall with 50+ gusts, another good reason to want to pull in sails and use the engine.
