It is plastic with twin slots. I saw the same thing in one of the catalogs
but carbon foil or something. It has a pre-feeder so the luff rope will
feed into it fairly easily. I bought the boat from a fella (for nearly
nothing) who didn't seem to know much about anything on the boat who bought
it from a serious racer in the Atlanta area. That being the case I can't
ask the person I bought it from.

Jim Bernstorf.....I wonder if that is the "foil" part of a system that the
previous owner had and left as part of a roller furling system?? Maybe he
took the furler bail off and left the "foils' on ?? Are they aluminum,
about one inch plus wide, and about 3/8 inch thick, and run nearly all the
way up the forestay? I have what I describe on my C27 TR as obviously part
of a furling system by Harken.
