Although I realize there's still some contention of what represents a
"work", OCLC "FRBRizes" the WorldCat bibliographic database to bring
together all manifestations for a given title,  e.g., all the title's
editions and translations. But for most published titles, there isn't any
other representation. And for some, there are lots.

smallest and largest worksets" for those interested. My thanks to my
colleague Jenny Toves for providing me all the statistics!
