Signs: Freak waves flowing up the river against the wind Cape Town - News24 User Jason Weeks sent us this video of strange waves moving up the Goukou river in Stilbaai on December 24.
"Every seven minutes a small wave of water flows up the river against the outgoing tide and against the wind," said Weeks. "The last time we saw this was when the quake and tsunami hit on the 26th of December a few years ago."
