Dear Prayer Warriors, We are so humbled and grateful to the overwhelming response from all of you beautiful people when we sent out the prayer request for Fr. Joseph Whalen's surgery.
It has been a little over two weeks, and all the Doctors and medical staff are amazed at the progress of this 85 year old priest. He sailed through the 4 hour spinal surgery, when they were wheeling him out of the operating room he sat forward and blessed the surgeon and operating staff and their families, and thanked them for work they had just done! He was in the hospital for 4 days, and rehab for 4 days with great success and no complications. He never took any pain medication! His incision has completely healed, no scar even! He is walking very well and going up an down stairs well. He will recuperate for a couple more months and then resume his Mass and healing service schedule. We thank our Almighty and merciful God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, Blessed Seelos, all the holy angels and saints and especially all you beautiful people who prayed for Fr. Joe! We ask you to continue to pray for his speedy recovery! Please know that all of you are in Fr. Joe's daily prayers as well.
