From the depths of our hearts, we would like to thank you for those who have prayed for our 8 late beloved sisters, the late Mr.Yanto (driver) and 1 sister of ours, Sr.Silvestra who is still in the ICU Charitas Hospital and for the FCh congregation in Palembang.
Dear Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Scholastics, Parish Council members, Categorial groups, Parents of Charitas’ students, brothers and sisters, friends and to all those whom we cannot mention one by one, who we honoured and loved in Jesus Christ, it is so hard in our hearts to express the tragical incident which we went through on 18th Feb 2009, the tragical accident which happened to our 8 beloved sisters, who are still relatively young in age, who are still needed in the Church’s mission through the Congregation of FCh, who are all by a sudden and tragic way have been called by our Lord and one of our sister who is still in the ICU Charitas hospital today. This entire event had made us hysterical…………… grieved, deeply sorrowed and is still hard for us to accept this reality. The same thing goes with the casualties’ relatives who are originally from many parts of the country. How difficult this trial-test is for us. Our tears had dried up for crying and weeping upon their leaving. Although we realize that nothing is possible to bring them back to life. As a faithful person we finally realize and able to accept it sincerely, because we believed that death is not the end of everything but is the “beginning of eternal life” as God had promised to all of the people who trust in Him. As a human person, we questioned, sued and protested God: “Why is this happening to us, why should them, who are still young? Why do they have to die in such a tragic way, what have they done, what have we done, why… why..” and so on………………….. We need such time to understand Gods’ plan and His will which, of course, He has plans that are best for those whom He called and also for us who are still struggling in this world. We believe that God has certainly had better plans and He that will send someone else. The more certain thing is that we have to have in us more faith, love and hope upon Him who is the source of grace and goodness. We also invite you, our brothers and sisters, to prepare ourselves, to watch and pray so that when He comes to take us home, we are ready to welcome Him. And hopefully we can bring more to the world “Charitas” which is the love for God and others who we served in prayers and works, wherever we are called and sent in the Church’s mission for the Glory of God. In prayers we unite and offer to the Lord, all of your love, support, attention and kindness which have had strengthen and supported all of us. And may all of your kindness bring blessings towards your life and family. God the Loving and Generous Lord will count and gives His blessings according to our faithful deeds. We apologize if there are things which are insufficient in our welcoming and greetings or anything which are not pleasing in your hearts. Once again with a sincere heart we thank you for all the love and prayers for us.
