some more birds that were seen today on Van Dyne Spoor Road.

Great Blue Heron     1
Northern Harrier     3
Red-tailed Hawk     2
Sandhill Crane     8  There could have been 10 because 2 flew over calling 
before the 8 arrived
Hudsonian Godwit       Found by Charlie and Lisa Rouse in the wet area near the 
dead end.  I saw the upcurved bill & white rump when it flew as they tried to 
scope it.
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher     1  Mostly in the field but I saw it a couple of 
times on the wire.
Northern Shrike     Seen in the field to the south in the afternoon
American Robin     10        In the woods on the way out.
Northern Mockingbird     1 heard only
Song Sparrow     1
White-crowned Sparrow     1
Eastern Meadowlark     2
Common Grackle     300

Other places and birds:  9 Thrumpeter Swans in the pond across the road from 
the MAC center.  5 Great Egrets at North Spring Pool.  White-rumped Sandpiper 
and 6 Long-billed Dowitcher and Dunlin at the Visitor Center.  6 or more Golden 
Plovers and Horned Larks on the Savannah Mucklands south of Route 31.
