Thanks this should be helpful to many. I noticed something odd though - there is a marker or balloon North of Crusoe Lake in Savannah, NY that looks like it is only accessible by water and it is marked East Road. That is not the East Road that most birders know of as East Road just north of Mays Point.

Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Birding locations nearby

All:

When I first started birding and joined the list, I spent several months in confusion not knowing where places like "Hog Hole", "Jetty Woods" or "Monkey Run" were exactly. Then someone posted this link to a Google map that explained it all, and which I still find useful:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=114120516821703404941.000445465d665faee559f.
A hearty Thanks to the creator of this map!

At the weekend I ran into a couple of birders who are in the same situation I was back then. I hope this helps them and others.

Enjoy!

-Paul
