We spent Monday afternoon attempting to relocate this birds without success.
Will
have to be content with Tom's nifty photos. We searched a broad area of likely
habitat throughout the area aided by a number of folks from Rochester. We did
see as
many as 13 Sandhill Cranes and a large number of harriers at the VanDyne Spoor
Rd
site. (any ideas on how a "spur" became "spoor"?). Also present were a
mockingbird
and meadowlark. As many as 20 Red-tailed Hawks were sighted during the trip.

In a recent post on Cayugabirds someone referenced a google map with local
birding
locations. Didn't study the whole thing as it is pretty busy, but names and
comments
for sites in Schuyler Cty and the FLNF are in error.
